M. Maria Park

Community Center | Studio Project | 2022

The M. Maria Project was developed to accommodate numerous creative programs which include art, culinary arts, visual performance, literature, and architecture. The programs aim to provide a creative environment for the community where they can pursue and explore different creative endeavors. Concepts explored during the precedent study were used to inform the language of the structure, such as the Marina City in Chicago. Each floor has a designated program with spaces that foster learning and growth as well as apartments for the five in house residents: an artist, a chef, a visual performer, a writer and an architect. This project was partially hand drafted, and I was able to learn the process of bringing a hand drafted project in the digital realm.

These are the hand drafted plans of the ground floor. Later on these plans were turned digital.
